No confusing policy language. No chasing contractors. No out-of-pocket repair bills after a covered claim. Here is the full process from inspection to claim resolution.

Step 1

The initial inspection

Before coverage can begin, a certified Wildlife Control Operator must inspect your property. This inspection confirms two things: that no wildlife is currently present inside the structure, and that no pre-existing entry points or vulnerabilities exist.

If your property passes

Coverage is initiated following a final verification inspection. The WCO confirms all entry points are properly sealed using Wyldguard-approved materials. Once approved, your limited express warranty goes into effect.

If pre-existing conditions are found

Coverage is deferred until repairs are completed. You will work with a certified WCO to complete all necessary exclusion work using approved materials. Wyldguard must then conduct a follow-up inspection before coverage begins.

Inspection fees

All inspection costs are the responsibility of the property owner at a flat rate of $100 per hour. A one-hour minimum applies. Any time beyond the first hour is billed in full one-hour increments.

Every inspector is NWCOA certified or trained directly by Wyldguard Protection Warranty.

Step 2

Your coverage is active

Once your property passes inspection and your policy is in place, your home or business is protected under the Wyldguard limited express warranty.

  • Monthly or annual premium payments keep your warranty in force
  • Any wildlife activity must be reported within four months of first detection
  • Your WCO’s workmanship is backed by a minimum one-year workmanship warranty
  • Wyldguard reserves the right to inspect any covered property at any time to verify the quality of exclusion work

Step 3

Filing a warranty claim

If you detect a wildlife problem, report it as quickly as possible. A claim becomes active the moment you contact Wyldguard by phone, voicemail, or through the warranty claim form on this website.

What happens after you file
  • Wyldguard locates a certified WCO in your area to assess and resolve the issue
  • The WCO inspects the damage and confirms it is consistent with covered species and conditions
  • Wyldguard pays the contractor directly for all covered work — you do not pay out of pocket for covered claims
The four-month reporting window

Wyldguard requires that any active infestation or structural breach be reported within four months of first audio, visual, or structural detection. If a Wyldguard inspector finds evidence that damage went unreported beyond this window, the claim will be declared void and all repair costs fall to the property owner.
